Namma Karwar, a social media platform, was founded in 2017 by local youths. It aims to empower Karwarians through tourism, business advertising, local news curation, and art showcases. The platform advocates for collective social impact and inclusivity, with a focus on bringing the community together.
For the past six years, we’ve built a strong social media presence with over 10,000+ followers on Facebook, 4000+ followers on Instagram, and 7,000+ subscribers on YouTube. We’re proud to have a vibrant community that spans across various platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, and Telegram groups.
In the past six years, our organization has organized over 50 events, programs, and activities to provide a platform for the youth and engage with the community. Our events have included singing, dancing, and food contests, as well as various competitions at the school and college levels. During the COVID period, we also initiated educational webinars and interacted with thousands of students, featuring talents of artists, dancers, singers, and speakers. We have collaborated with several governmental organizations to promote social causes, such as clean India and drug awareness. Our efforts aim to create a positive impact on society by empowering the youth and promoting social awareness.
Additionally, we have partnered with more than 20 organizations to help amplify our message and expand our reach. We’re proud to have taken the initiative to organize the first-ever Flash Mob event in Karwar in October 2021, which was a huge success. In October 2022, we organized another Flash Mob and a Jamming event, making us the sole organization to initiate such events in Karwar.
We believe in the power of community and the collective impact that we can make. Our events and initiatives are designed to bring people together and encourage positive change in our society. We look forward to continuing our work in the future to make Karwar a better place for all.
